I had a great time this afternoon with these girls! Tanya (not me) is getting married next summer, but because she's having a small wedding, she's not able to incorporate all her best girlfriends into the wedding as a bridal party. Instead she choose to do a "bridesmaid" photo session with all the girls in its place! Tanya met her fiancée Elliot at The Slice when his band was playing, so this was the perfect spot to do some photos celebrating the upcoming wedding and her relationship with all her friends. A lot of these girls are rockers and are in relationships with rockers, so they brought a few vehicles full of instruments along as props.

A super huge thanks to Jesse at Slice for letting us in a bit before opening to make this happen! Go eat their pizza :)

As you probably know from the lack of deer and prairie photos on my blog, I am not a nature photographer. It's not my strong point. However, this past weekend, when faced with Bluejays and Stellar Jays (and some other guy I don't know, because I'm not a bird watcher) eating from their peanut bird feeder, I couldn't resist. Rather than show you the "nice" photos, I bring to you... AWKWARD BIRD PHOTOS. It was the accidental moments between the good shots that brought me the most delight.

p.s. If you are wondering, the local chipmunk has had a terrible time since the birds realized how delicious peanuts are. The magpies have also gotten in on the action, but instead of coming close to human dwellers to get the peanuts themselves, they wait until the little birds leave their stash, then sneak in the tree and eat the peanuts. How rude!

This last weekend I took a trip to the Crowsnest Pass, and had my first session with Jake. Jake was such a happy, agreeable baby, and even though he's not a tummy baby, putting him on it still brought out tons of smiles!

After opening for Grady, The Motorleague came back into Lethbridge a few days later for a show at the Slice. That afternoon we got together to take some new promo photos now that they have a new bassist.

Grady played in Lethbridge a few weeks ago at Average Joe's, and it was a fantastic show - it was definitely worth braving the freezing weather for it. They haven't played in Lethbridge in quite some time, plus Gordie Johnson's former band Big Sugar were the second band I ever saw in a bar, so I was super excited for this show since I found out about it. The performance was fantastic, and Johnson's guitar chops never fail to blow my mind.

Greg and Tarah are getting married in a few months, and I'm so excited for their winter wedding! We met up today on what is probably our last warm day [aw :( ] for their engagement photos, and they brought along their adorable dog, Bosley. They are such a cute couple and soooo easy to photograph (well, when I wasn't frantically jumping around to get Bos's attention!)

I'll see you two again soon :)
